RW QGC Etude Felix Nameque

DOB: January 22, 2007

Felix is a blue silver out of Freya and an Aby-variant who was visiting here from South Africa. He is doing quite well in the show hall, having just made Quad Grand Champion. Felix will be a father for the first time in the beginning of May. Felix was named after a very old tune out of the William Byrd Virginal Book. His name translates as "happy is my name". He is totally Greg's cat, he is a calm, (normally) dignified boy who likes to lie upside down in Greg's arms purring while his Papa rubs his belly.

CH Etude Blue Rondo a la Turk

DOB: May 2, 2007

Rondo is a blue boy from our ruddy line. He is a big, friendly, active and athletic guy, with a very snugly personality. We really like his type, although his undercoat color is very pale. With better undercoat color, he would probalby have done well showing. Rondo has contributed quite a bit to our silver lines, partly because his pale undercoat is an advantage there. We are trying to get a reasonably colorful ruddy girl with his type before we place him as a pet.

Rondo has been DNA tested as a carrier for PK deficiency. He does not carry cinnamon.

GC BW RW (TICA RW QGC) Sunfox Zadok of Etude

DOB: October 7, 2008

Zadok (named after the Handel coronation anthem) is a beautiful ruddy boy out of our "Sultan", and who took his father's place in our breeding program. His mother is Minuet, a lovely sweet girl owned by Lee Dowding of Sunfox Somalis, who has herself gone on to win Supreme Grand Champion in TICA. We are very pleased with Zadok, who has inherited the best characteristics from both parents. His show career has been outstanding, in his first adult show, he ended up being Best Cat in Championship. He went on to be CFA's Somali breedwinner for 2009 and got simultaneous regional wins in both TICA and CFA in the same show season. He's a great ambassador for the breed, loves to show. We love him and hope he passes all his best traits on to his offspring.

Both of Zadok's parents have been DNA tested clear for PK deficiency. Zadok carries the dilution gene, but not cinnamon.

Etude Winter Dreams

DOB: Febuary 16, 2010

Winter is a black silver Somali, and a product of our out crossing efforts. His dam is Arpeggio The Blessing, a bliack silver Abyssinian; the sire is Jupiter our cinnamon Silver from Austria; both pretty far removed from our core line. He has really outstanding coat- as soft and silky as it comes, and so far very good clarity. In his first show outing he picked up a couple of finals, garnering 6th and 7th best kitten against more than a hundred kittens at the TICA National, and he made Grand Champion in his first adult show.
